Do You SEE What I SEE? Land Ho!

Do You SEE What I SEE? Land Ho!

After my mom came to my graduation and we celebrated the end of my undergraduate career, I decided to take her on a little trip up north to see the grand Niagara Falls (a site my my mom had always wanted to visit)…and the 1000 Island, a little bonus of the tour we made reservations with.

The time I had spent with my mom were special and will be cherished, not only because of the fact that she is my mom but in that the time spent only spanned for a mere 10 days before she had to fly back and for myself to return to the “adult world.” In any case, the Falls were spectacular and inspiring and the smile on my mother’s face that spanned from one ear to the other made it a tad bit more special.

Of the two locations, Niagara Falls was the most inspirational and “interesting” than the 1000 Island (which is essenticallly the place where all the rich people, and Presidents, apparently, go to, as well as, interestingly enough, the birth place of the dressing by the same name). If you disregard the tourists, the clicking of cameras and the blue plastic bags, the Falls itself was awe-inspiring. Imagine the force and grace that the Falls bring to its viewers. As I stood there on the deck of the Maiden of the Mist, soaked to the bone (plastic bag fashion didn’t do much for me), eyes blinded by water vapors, ears deafened by the roaring of the crashing water falls, and heart captivated by the ferocity yet beauty of the falling water, I could do nothing else but absorb its grandeur (and take shots of the Falls until my phone no longer sensed the warmth in my fingers as they were sapped by the falling water). It is not a scene that one comes across every day and I shall not forget it. More than mere remembrances I will take it to heart. Just as the waters continues to fall over the edge, unyielding to what may come beneath it, I too shall move on towards better and greater thing in my Life, my work, and my self (I probably sound like a New Year’s resolution that won’t be fulfilled but I will do my best nonetheless).

Move around unnecessary obstacles and crash down on those that do not believe in your success~!
